My name is Matt Baker, and my friend Brandt and i are on a road trip across America....a few months ago, there was a small write up on your Terrabite lounge in our local paper, The Columbus Dispatch,(ohio) and we decided that we had to stop by and check it out......we believe the idea of a shop that runs on the notion that people are inherently good is an amazing one, and it also reflects what we have found during the first portion of our trip.....we have encountered so many people who were willing to help and asked nothing in return, and this seems to align completely with the ideals that Terrabite was started on ...

Hi- I found your website via StumbleUpon, and I just wanted to say that what you're doing is very, very cool. I live in Anchorage, Alaska, and I really wish we had something similar here. We have various shelters and Salvation Army type things, but nothing like this that isn't tied to something religious or political. A member of my family recently fell on hard times, and he has a definite personal stigma against the homeless shelters and those who need them, even though he is perilously close. I know that something like what you do would be invaluable to him (he's mentioned many times how much he would give to feel normal again), and I'm sure there are many people who benefit a lot from what you do. So thank you for providing an amazing service and place for people to be.
Ellie Millen 7/12/2007

I'm Jay, a student/consultant/entrepreneur out in Boston, MA. I read about the Terra Bite Lounge when the Seattle Times article came out, then recently again when the authors of Freakonomics mentioned it on their blog. I moved up here from Statesboro, GA to get involved with web designer/developer community in Boston and work on my projects in an area where there were people I could draw inspiration from. Running a coffee shop/cafe, I'm sure you've seen a lot of people come in to do work, because it's a place where they can be around people, creatively collaborate with others in the space, and enjoy the atmosphere and food while they're working. ...
